The AI trap? Everyone has to use it. No one gets an edge

A cynical view: AI makes everyone work harder, move faster, and ship more. But that doesn't actually provide any advantage, because everyone else is using AI too.

You have to use it because your competitors are using it. But once everyone has the same tools, no one gets the edge.

Teams ship more. Faster. So do their competitors.

But you also can't not use AI, because then you fall behind.

So companies are forced to spend ever more on tokens, work harder and harder, and still not capture the benefits.

Is the new game run harder, pay the toll, hand the upside to the model providers?
